Karachi: Due to the pressure of rising crude oil prices in the global market, the dollar flew in the interbank market today, the interbank rate of the dollar exceeded Rs 176.

According to Express News, the dollar had touched Rs 176.32 on one occasion due to rising demand in the interbank market since the start of trading on Tuesday.

Later in the day, the dollar rose by 48 paise to close at Rs 176.23 in the interbank market.

In the open currency market, on the other hand, the dollar lost 30 paise to close at Rs 177.50.
