Allah Almighty has not given equality to all in worldly terms. Some are rulers, some are subjugated, some are masters, some are slaves, some are rich and some are poor. This difference in position and status is not at all due to the fact that a lowly person considers lowly employees as inferior and contemptible. In fact, this high and low factory of ranks and positions is the guarantor of running the world and fulfilling human needs. The beauty of Islam is that it teaches its followers to treat their subordinates and subjects with compassion. Islam itself gives the idea that being a subordinate or a guardian is a one-time relationship, otherwise all are equal as human beings. Islam treats those who are brought to the doorstep of employment as their brothers and urges them to be treated equally.

Prior to Islam, the custom of slaves and handmaids was common in the pre-Islamic era of Jahiliyyah. Once a person became a slave, he remained a slave for generations. Seeing and hearing the cruelty and oppression inflicted on the slaves, the body would tremble. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came into the world as Rehmat-ul-Alamin, he put an end to this horrible notion by liberating slaves. The Companions freed not only their slaves but also the slaves of the polytheists by buying in their way. At the same time, he defined the rights of every member of society.

He pointed out the rights and duties of those who earn their livelihood by serving others and obliged all to strictly abide by these rights. The treatment of most domestic workers, especially women and children, in our society is both regrettable and shameful. Stories of oppression and torture inflicted on these people by the hands of the poor are a daily adornment of the media, but these are just a few of the stories that somehow come to light, except for a few good families. In general, the attitude of family members, especially housewives, towards these housewives and working children is very contemptible, ugly and insulting.

Fundamental rights of domestic worker

Due to the evils and mistrust prevailing in the society, it should be avoided to keep a stranger as a domestic servant without any credible reference. When hiring an employee or servant, it must be registered in the concerned police station. In Islam, there is great wisdom in the commandment of veil from non-mahram and domestic servants are not exempt from it. Arrange for the implementation of this order yourself and also get the women of the house to do it. Before hiring an employee, he should be informed in detail about the nature of work, working hours, salary and other conditions. Do not take more work than the capacity, strength and ability of the employee. He should be treated with kindness, kindness and justice. Do not take more work than scheduled and working hours.

Treat employees well

Good deeds are of great importance in good deeds. It creates humility in man. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to treat his servants in the most ideal manner. Hazrat Anas says that I used to travel and serve the Holy Prophet (saw), but the Holy Prophet (saw) never told me why you did such and such thing and why you did not do such and such thing. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: It is good luck to treat slaves well and it is bad luck to treat them badly. We must always be kind to our servants and employees.

Timely payment of wages to employees

The employee should pay the fixed wage on time, delaying it causes financial problems to the employee. In the same way, people usually deduct from the employee's salary under various pretexts, which is illegal. The meaning of the words of the Almighty in the Holy Qur'an: He gives you good advice. No doubt! He hears and sees. ”(Sur Nisa)

Working with forgiveness

Every human being can make mistakes according to the requirements of humanity. Domestic workers, servants and servants are no exception. Employees, servants, because most of the day and night are devoted to our service and are as busy as possible to comfort us, sometimes things do not go according to our mood and intentions. Sometimes the assigned work does not work or is affected by any of the employee's own worries or his / her health disorder, in which case the mistake made by the employee should be tolerated and forgiven.
