Lahore: Chahina Group while talking to media said that we are unconditionally supporting Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab.
According to Express News, 14 Punjab Assembly members of the Chahina group met PTI ally Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and assured his support.
Among the members who called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi were Ghazanfar Abbas Chhaniya, Amir Inayat Shahani, Ali Raza Khan Khakwani, Ejaz Sultan Bandisha, Muhammad Ahsan Jahangir, Gulraiz Afzal Gondal, Khawaja Daud Soleimani, Sardar Mohi-ud-Din Khosa, Col. Ghazanfar Abbas Shah and Timur. Ali Lali, Sardar Shahabuddin Sehhar, Faisal Farooq Cheema, Ejaz Khan, Ghulam Ali Asghar Khan Lahri were present.
Later, while talking to media, Chahina group said, "We are unconditionally supporting Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab."
Earlier in the day, Punjab Chief Ministerial candidate Pervez Elahi had called on the Chahina group for support and the group had asked for 24 hours to hold a final consultation.
