New Delhi: Students of Jawaharlal Nehru University have been subjected to inhumane treatment by the extremist Hindu Jamaat student organization for eating meat dishes in a hostel.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in the Indian capital, goons from the extremist Hindu student organization Akhil Bharatiya Vidharti Parishad attacked hostels and tortured female students.

Extremist Hindu Jamaat goons beat the students and dragged them on the road, injuring several students. The injured students were shifted to a nearby hospital where the condition of one student is said to be critical.

The All India and Indian Council had banned eating meat dishes in hostels but was rejected by a majority of students, who were attacked by extremist goons.

A large number of parents and citizens gathered at the hospital after the incident. The university administration declined to comment immediately.
