ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a reference to the National Assembly to de-seat deviant members of the party.
The reference was sent by the party chairman Imran Khan to the speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaseer and the reference was handed over to the speaker by PTI chief web Amir Dogar. Reference against 20 deviant members was filed under Article 63A.
In the text of the reference, it was stated that "deviant members were elected on PTI tickets. Relevant members of media reports left PTI and joined opposition parties."
The text said that show cause notices were also issued to the deviant members but no reply was given for the sake of show cause notices. The petition called for initiating proceedings to de-seat the deviant members.
