LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Bazdar's resignation from the post of Punjab Chief Minister has been accepted, after which the Punjab cabinet was also dissolved.
According to Express News, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar accepted the resignation of Usman Bazdar from the post of Punjab Chief Minister.
After the resignation of Usman Bazdar, the Punjab Cabinet was dissolved and the Governor convened a meeting of the Punjab Assembly on April 2. The meeting will elect a new Chief Minister.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had resigned from Usman Bazdar four days ago to make PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi the Chief Minister of Punjab, which was received by the Governor two days ago. The resignation has been accepted.
