ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has provided safe passage to deviant members of the Assembly by not participating in the no-confidence motion, after which the reference against 20 deviant members is now likely to be ineffective.

According to AMK News, a reference was filed by PTI against the 20 deviant members of the National Assembly who came to light after the opposition filed a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan. The reference under 63A was handed over to Speaker Asad Qaiser, but now that reference is likely to be ineffective.

Last night, PTI did not participate in the vote of no-confidence motion against Imran Khan in the National Assembly and provided a safe passage to 20 deviant members. There was no need to vote, and last night the dissidents did not vote for anyone.

Former Deputy Attorney General Raja Khalid Khan has said that Article 63A of the Constitution cannot be applied to 20 deviant members. Deviant members did not commit.
