Lahore: In the second ODI match being played between Pakistan and Australia, the national team defeated the Kangaroos by 6 wickets to level the series 1-1.
Batting first, Ben McDermott scored his first career century for Australia, scoring 104 runs. Australia's Marcus Lubshin (59), Mark Stones (49), Alex Carey (5) and Shaun Abbott (28 off 16 balls) were the main contributors in the final over of the innings.
So far, Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken 4 wickets, Mohammad Wasim Jr. has taken 2 wickets while Zahid Mahmood and Khushdal Shah have taken 1 wicket each.
In pursuit of the target, Pakistani openers Fakhr Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq started the innings with 118 runs. Zaman returned to the pavilion with 67 runs. However, captain Babar Azam along with Imam added 111 runs for the second wicket.
Captain Babar Azam played a responsible innings and scored 114 runs with the help of 11 fours and a six and played an important role in the victory of the team. Among other players Muhammad Rizwan 23, Khushdal Shah 27 and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 11 runs. Australia's Adam Zampa 2 while Nathan Ellis and Mark Stones took one wicket each.
It should be noted that in the first ODI of the series, the visiting team Australia had defeated Pakistan by 88 runs.
