ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has started considering the option of resigning from the Assembly following a no-confidence motion.

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI have started considering other options after the no-confidence motion.

Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been advised that it is better to resign collectively from PTI members and allies than to sit in opposition with corrupt rulers. With the resignations, the new government will face a crisis.
According to sources, it will be difficult to hold by-elections on so many seats. The same exercise will be conducted simultaneously in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sources further said that the Prime Minister believes that going to the polls immediately would be of interest to him. The PTI has 155 members in the National Assembly while the National Assembly has 342 seats.
